Medieval origins of PEASE family of Essex, England and possible Saxon ancestry in Germany

Dear Group, I'm having trouble joining this group, would love to be with you as have got one family PEASEs of Essex back to 1247, there are stories that this family originated as Saxons in Germany and were granted a coat of arms during the reign of Otto II, Emperor of Germany from 972-981. I have a partial description of the arms and would love to have some suggestions on researching more on this, however do feel this is not going to be easy. rita

Maybe a longshot but have you tried Peze?

In the Hans H Reclam heraldry collection, card numbers #2279 and #24853 may match your arms or be similar.
It would also give a location.
Hello Armando,

thank you for the hint to look in the Berlin Archives Hans H Recalim collection. I will follow this up. I have a list of over 70 variant spellings of PEASE.

Further to my earlier message on Pease family I have a picture of the coat of arms.

However have not been able to upload it, so will put it on my Ancestry Tree Woodham Walters Pease,

Maybe you should write for the 2 Peze arms I told you about.

The eagle displayed in chief on Pez(z)en arms looks similar to 2 of the Pease arms with Eagle in chief.
