Here is what I know about my Thomas William Glasspoool:

~ Born July 9, 1812 in South Wooten, Norfolk, England, the son of Thomas Glasspool and Mary Ann Jackson.
~ Came to America aboard the ship "Pacific", landing in New York on Oct 17, 1836
~ Married Catharine Cook on Jan. 4, 1838 in Big Rock, Kane County, Illinois (theirs is the first marriage recorded in this town)
~ He was a teacher, a Town Clerk, and Justice of the Peace
~ He ultimately settled with his family in Buffalo County, Wisconsin which is where he died. We believe his date of death to be Aug. 22, 1890.

I have numerous documents on him- his Certificate of Naturalization, his marriage certificate, and copies of meeting minutes he took while serving as the Town Clerk. I have one picture of him.

I hope this helps!

Hi Dawn,

I am sorry I am not able to help you much with this as all my Glasspool research is in the county of Hampshire. Lets hope others can pick up on this for you. I will be in touch if anything comes to hand.
Good luck.
Best wishes, Chris.
Hi Dawn
I am doing a one name study of ALL Glasspool's and have a lot of USA info to connect to my UK info. I have a number of Glasspool "families" that I keep in seperate files until I find a link.... it is amazing how many I have managed to link together. I have been concentrating on Hampshire, London and Norfolk recently, but it is now put away until after Christmas when I intend to tackle the links to the USA and other places abroad [ Australia, Jamaica etc..]. If you would care to share your info with me I will happily let you know if I can link it to one of my already exsisting "families".
Kind regards, Diana Glasspool
