Google MyFamily.com. Set up your own free site & I believe you can start searching for other family sites you are interested in. It's very easy to start a site. Or I think I can send you an invitation to a couple of the different WV sites if you want to give me your email address. Let me know.

I am searching for Williams family information. My father was born in Clay Co., WV. I have been working on the family for about 10 years so I have a lot of information. But I have hit a brick wall with my gg grandfather Bazel Leroy Williams who may have been born in Braxton Co., WV. Seems like everybody in Clay Co. is related to everybody else! I'm also searching for Daniels and Stewarts along with many others from Clay Co. If anybody is interested, there are several MyFamily sites for WV families - lots of pictures and documentation are available.

Hi everyone,
My name is Ted Pasco. I was born in Belmont County, Ohio a very long time ago. My mother's family was from Fredericks County, Virginia, my father's family from the New England area, Ohio, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. My wife's family are all West Virginians (Moundsville). I
am researching Pasco, Boughner, Wade, Stern, Marple, Pugh, Hickman, and many other surnames. I will glady share all I have.

Does anyone know there is a listing of burials in Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling? I am looking for Allisons and Stantons.

Kay, I agree completely. I found three generations of marriage certificates last night. Plus some death records too! What a goldmine!

Terri, The WV Culture site is well worth the struggle of dealing with their aging server. I think it is the server and the number of people using it now. I think the word keep spreading about the site and the ability to find birth, marriage, and death records and print them out for Free. Wish more states would do that with their old records, what a boon for us amateur geneologists.

The West Virginia Division of Culture and HIstory is a great link. Found many birth and marriage records there tonight.
