I am trying to reconstruct a family line with scanty information.  My last Wood ancestor I have information on was I. Thomas Wood, born in Bunkle, Berwickshire, England in 1813, married Isabella Hall Sewell in 1849 on Charles St in Baltimore, died c. 1880.  All the family genealogy was divided and the Wood genealogy went elsewhere years ago.  All I know is that through him , we are related to Rogans, Owens and Warfields (no particular order) and ultimately to Bowies and some connection to Jim Bowie.  I have followed dozens of possibilities but nothing works out.  I would be ever so grateful if anyone recognizes a connection.  Anne

Sorry, I didn't get your email. Would you mind forwarding it to me again? It probably went to my junk mail, but I'll look for it now.

Hi Lyla,
We're you able to open the documents for George and his wife Sarah? Did he match your findings?
Thanks,
Bob

Hi Lyla,

Yes, I'd be glad to share information and would love to know more about Frederic William Wood the Waterman.  I've tried to attach the death certificate for George Wood (the plasterer).  He had seven children including Matilada, Jane F., Alice, George Frederic, Reginald Marmaduke, Olive, and William Edwin.  They came first to Nova Scotia and then Massachusetts.  My line comes from their daughter Olive Wood (1888-1940) and her son Loring Hildred.   He was my grand father that just recently pass away at 96 years old.  If you send my your e-mail, I'll invite you to my public tree on ancestry.

Best,

Bob Morris

Hi Bob

Nice to hear we have a connection. These are the only notes I have about George Wood. I was wondering if you could fill in the gaps and confirm what I already have. I hadn't picked up your great grandmother. Were there any other children?

George born 1846 was a plasterer. He married Sarah Ann Fallows 27/10/1867 Stepney and they remained in Mile End area. Children Sarah 1849, Jane 1871, Matilda 1869

If you would like more information on the family of Frederick William I would be happy to send you what I have found so far

Regards

Lyla

Hi Lyia,
Thank you for you research notes. I was able to connect my Great grandmother, Olice Wood (1888-1940) and her father, George Wood, (1846-1907) to his father, Frederic William Wood who was a Waterman in Limehouse.
Best,

Hi, I'm looking for information on Sarah Wood, daughter of John Wood of Yorkshire, born sometime in the mid-1700s. She was the wife of Captain Sir Charles Douglas of the Royal Navy, and the mother of General Sir Howard Douglas.

Thanks,
-Christopher
