Have info on Dolphin and Grogan from in or around Dublin, from mid 1800s. Also would like to know more about these relatives.

Hi to all those of you interested in your cork relations around 1900

If you go to http://www.corkpastandpresent.ie/
they have great maps of the whole of the city of cork
of that time which show accurate sized floor plans of every business
and private dwellings there rooms, closets etc even the angle of pitch
of the roof (if you need that) so you can see how you ancestors
lived, you will find the streets and houses that have been demolished
in the modernization (improvements) I've learnt a great deal from them.

Hi,
I am trying to find John Campbell b. 1720 in Argyll Shire Scotland. When at The University of Glasgow he was involved in a fatal duel and left Scotland to live in Londonderry, Ireland - that was !743 or so. There he married a 'Miss Bacon". I can find nothing about either of these and my line ends here. Oh, both John and his wife died in Ireland and while living he was a doctor. Their son Matthew was born 1760 in Donegal, Ireland and emigrated to Juanita Valley, Huntingdon, Co.,PA in 1791 with his wife, Elizabeth Fairman born in Donegal, Ireland also and their 2 sons and 3 daughters. I would like to find out about these people and am hoping someone in this group might be able to help me. Thanks, Linda Smith

Hi and thank you for allowing me to join.
I am stuck on my paternal side of my family, my father always said that going back in time the family were from ireland although he didnt know where in ireland i have traced some of the family in preston lancashire, where most of the paternal line were from, and now have got stuck on thomas roony who i am now thinking was from ireland as i cannot find any records of him here in preston, i know he died in 1840 aged 25, and that he married (so i was told)a helen or ellen (surname unknown), in 1841 thomas son michael was living with a magee family (from ireland) and there was a ellen magee aged 20 living there, i have wondered if she was michales mother and perhaps her and thomas rooney never married?
Any ideas where to go now would be appreciated
Thank you
Bernadette

I'm looking for Morans from Mohill, Co. Leitrim, Kellys from the same general area & Keeleys from somewhere in Ireland. Moran married Kelly & they came to USA mid 1800s. They settled in Wisconsin where my ggrandparents (Keeley & Moran) met & married. They both worked on the NPRR. Keeley died in Canada. Moran remarried Dunlevy. After his death she remarried Dolan & settled in North Dakota, where she died.

My gggrandfather, Robert Dunlap came to Pa from Ireland. Right now he is my brick wall. I do not know what part of Ireland, when he was born or when exactly he arrived in Pa. I do know that my great grandmother, Elizabeth, was born in 1826. He died in 1841.
