Hello to all of you in the genealogy wise group!

My name is Mike Napper and I have been doing research on my family for some time. I have learned that what is written is not always true and a lot of errors occurred in census data recording between the questions asked and interpretation of the answers received. It has been my experience to hit hot spots and really gain information and to turn around and crash into a  brick wall making no progress. I don't give up; but, sometimes walk away to regroup and go at it again. I have used LDS-Family Search, Archives.com, My Heritage, and Geneaology.com  in finding most of the data needed, Recently I have embarked on finding my wife's family on the Lithuanian side and have a challenge since I am not familiar with the language and have minimal data to work from. Sort of a needle in a haystack concept I have been looking at maps and trying to find resources to use. I am looking for the Varnagris family, origination in the Vilkavlskio region. I know the names of her grandmothers family, grandmothers birth date and the names of family members as for father, mother, and siblings.

 Thanks,

Mike Napper

I have a puzzle piece in my genealogy tree that doesn't fit, I have looked everywhere for clues and find nothing!

My g-grandmother Sarah Atkins b-1866 in Arkansas eventually ended up in Carthage, Jasper, MO between 1880 and 1901. She had 3 children, 2 that lived. When she died in 1901 she was a widow according to the 1900 Census she filled out. All children were born in Missouri, Charles 1891 and Bessie 1894. She claimed the last name as Napper and that of her children stating the Father of the children's birthplace was Kansas. It appears Mr. Napper died in 1893/1894 when the last child was born. All to go on is Napper and Kansas as clues.  I am not sure if there was an Mr. Napper? When Sarah died the children were orphaned at age 9 and age 6 and none of her personal possessions remain.  Have worked on this 5 years and have spent perhaps 100 hours looking. Does anyone out there have any ideas of where I might look? I have tried Family Search, Ancestry, My Heritage, Roots Web, etc

Would appreciate any info:  alliesdad12@gmail.com
