- For what reason did you start genealogy research?
- I was adopted and began a mid-life search for my birth parents. A genetic genealogy test showed me that my surname was Richards. As I found my birth father's family, I got into genealogy as a means of connecting this new family to the three Richards men that I match. I now manage the Richards DNA Surname Project at Family Tree DNA. More recently I have begun to research my birth mother's line and both of my wife's parental lines.
