I think it may be long shot but its worth asking if you recognise any of these people in your records.
My great grandfather, Lutheran Rev. John Abner Locke Miller, wed Mary Ann Pinkston, daughter of Pvt. Wm. Franklin Pinkston, CSA, of Zeb/Franklin, Rowan Co., N.C., and brother of 3rd Lt. Jesse Rowan Pinkston, CSA.
Hi Monica, You actually have been corresponding with my mom, Fabel Konicke. I wll try to get some of the dates from my mom - she has done most of the work!
Monica. I am interested in the Brickley name. My gr grandmother was a Brickley. The family seemed to have been located mostly in Iowa, however they did migrate there. Do you have Brickley's in your ancestors?
Good luck to you as well, and if you ever need a suggestion, etc., feel free to get back to me. My father's side of the family are all through Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, areas
Monica
Can you tell me what sources you have looked at thus far? For example, did you know there is a Haley group in Rootsweb, and maybe a bulletin board as well. I never got much out of them but most of the discussion seemed to deal with Haley's in the South. You might try them, its all free.
Monica
Not sure where to begin. My grandfather was Harold Jarvis Haley, who was adopted in 1905. The Haley line he was adopted into are mostly in Massachusetts, back into Nova Scotia, and then into Ireland, though I don't have much beyond Nova Scotia presently. What else do you need? Alan

Monica, I have a Jesse S. Gatlin listed as the son of Jesse and Mary Polly Prescott Gatlin. I have approximate dates of birth but his will was written in Hopkins Co., KY 22Feb1855. He and Susan M. Moore had 9 children. I have a couple of other Jesse's but none within your specific time frame. I'd love to add your family to my database and, hopefully, connect-the-dots as further research continues on these elusive ancestors of ours.
My line from Lazarus, Sr. is through his son William James Gatlin (abt 1765-1842) and Sarah Hanks > Susan S. Gatlin (Thomas E. Matthews) > Louisa Frances Matthews (John H. Wakefield) > Louisa Frances Wakefield (William Thomas McHenry) > my mother. It was the land grant given to William James Gatlin, Jr. killed in March 1836 in the Goliad (TX) Massacre that brought my Gatlin and Matthews families to TX.
Hi Monica, it is so nice to put a face with the name! I am sorry that I have been absent from the Willbanks site...but life has been intruding with my genealogy! LOL. I hope you are having a great summer and I am really looking forward to getting to know you better!
We may be researching some of the same lines. My ggreat grandmother was a Matthews, her mother was a Gatlin and her grandmother was a Hank(s). States involved are NC, TN, MS and TX.
