Thanks for the info - I have contacted the Manchester University a couple of times and have not had a great response - I live in Australia so accesssing resources is not possible in person for me. I will ask at my university if there are ways to share resources. I will also try Shebbear College. Your work in your thesis was excellent - so detailed. I am currenlty undertaking my Doctorate so know the time it takes.
I am seeking information regarding the Bible Christian movement in the 1840-1850's in Devon. I have come across the Bible Christian Magazines which were published regularly and have been able to access some as ebooks. Where are the originals kept? Are these able to be viewed? Also do you know if records were kept regarding the itinerant ministers in this period? My great grandfather was a minister of this religion and I am finding it difficult to trace his movements during this time - I have a marriage record but he does not appear in census records. Thanks
Janet.Re our recent conversation on skype have now traced the fulford family to canada in the year 1975 and will let you know when I reach a living fulford.
My GR Gr Grandfather was in BB IN THE 1841 AND 1851 CENSUS before coming Down Under in 1855. Am looking forward ,very much , to seeing my ancestors village. We should be there about May 17 to 19.He lived at places called Watriton, Hombury and Tythacott. Any luck with these names? WE would be happy to meet up with you

I have been working on my family history in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight for some time now (Whettam, Keech, Rogers, Swan).
My Mum and her sister are planning a visit to the Isle of Wight next month and I am interested in (1) fleshing out the information that I have about the details and places of interest to the family in Shalfleet, Wellow, Ningwood, and Thorley and/or (2) finding someone who can escort them to places of interest and provide insight into local history.
I had contacted Jon and Hazel on the FHS website but your name popped up here when I searched for professional genealogists in Hampshire. I would love to hear from you if this is something you may be able to assist with. Thanks!
I just received the info about the Buckland Brewer photo exhibit on October 9! Would love to be able to attend as that is my birthday! Tentatively, I have lower back surgery scheduled for October 4, so even if we had the financial capability to make the trip, post-surgery recovery makes it out of the question! If I am able, I will tune in to the site on the 9th, & perhaps pick up info, photos and comments! Thank you for making the exhibit possible; I will certainly be there in spirit!
