Hi DeeDee:
At the group, Mississippi Roots, you commented, "I don't have ancestors in MS, but I do live here, and I can help with research and cemetery photos in Oktibbeha, Lowndes, Webster, Winston, Noxubee, Lauderdale, and Clarke county."
Located above comment on a mission to learn of a possible FAG volunteer about the area of Shuqualak, Noxubee County, Mississippi.
Hoping you might have some suggestion for us on Jean Hyde's challenge, "Finding the Maiden Names [of Josephine Spann]" in the GenWise group, Most Wanted! Ancestors Lost and Found.
We believe Josephine (____) (Pippen) Spann died btw 1930 and 1940. Have struck out in a first pass seeking her death certificate from Mississippi. Her husband, Abraham "Abe" Spann survived her; he died in 1940. His death certificate (posted in a reply to her challenge) does not mention his burial location. Abe and Josephine resided at Noxubee County. Josephine's son, Walter Pippen lived at Shuqualak; at least one grandchild lived there, too.
So hope you might have some thoughts for us. --GJ
No Henry in my family. My gandparents immigrated in 1903. I actually knew or know all members in the family except those in Germany. There are very few left.

Hi, DeeDee... I've had some fun looking around tonight.. Not much luck so far, but I have a possible hit in some DAR records submitted by my chapter. I'm a new member, so I had to send a request for assistance on locating the reference. I'll keep in touch... I like your family site. Sweet! :)
Hi, Dee Dee. I was just wondering if you had any additional information on your DE ancestor? I am a member of the DE Genealogical Society and a chapter of the DAR locally, but I've had no occasion to search through DE records. I would be happy to do so for you, but I would just like to make sure that I have the maximum amount of known information to begin. :)
Hi Dee Dee. I'm glad you liked my blog. I am a lifelong learner and love education. Hope your able to find courses that will help you progress in your genealogy research. If you find any courses that I didn't mention in my blog please add the links for others. :)
