Hi, I came to this site in such of information concerning Major Daniel McLarin who fought at Cowpens, SC in the revolution. He recieved the battle site and other lands now a National Park. I'm involved in preparing a historic article concerning direct descendant James McLarin who recently passed away leaving a genealogy proving his direct ancestry from Major Daniel McLarin. Hi Sherry:

Thank you for the big friendly Texas welcome. The snow and snowmen look like my back yard. After Christms, hope it all goes away.:)

Happy holidays to you and yours.
Best,

I have noticed on your profile that you are reseaching Rogers. I have been reading a book by Bobby Gilmer moss called "the Patriots at the Cowpens". There are listed two Rodgers in the book that migrated from Va. to Ky.. Any of these yours?--Russell

Thank you Sherry, you cannot imagine how thrilled I am to find this social group. I am somewhat new to the family tree business but am having so much fun. I look forward to researching with every body and getting to know folks from other walks of life, and who knows ... might just find some relatives in the process.
Have a great day!!!

Yes, we have Weatherfords from Kentucky and Tennessee. There is also family lore that we are related to William (Red Eagle) Weatherford; however, we have not been able to establish the link. We have a very old Weatherford Bible. I am a member of the DAR in San Francisco and have traced back family on both sides to the Mayflower and Revolutionary War....still are many branches of the family to research. Where are your Weatherford's from?

Hi Sherry,

Sorry for the delay in saying thanks for the birthday wishes. I have been dealing with a lot of health issues, one being post polio problems, and I need a knee replacement but have to get some weight off for that so I've not been able to get on the computer and check all the sites I signed up for, this being one of them.

Hope all is going well with you and yours and I pray y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I just posted some of my family history on the Jones side so if you see anything that may somehow connect, let me know.

Have a great week

Carol

Surely you're expecting something important happens,
What can change for the better your story,
This will be a milestone in his life, Jesus says that great and his blessing.
Do not be anxious your heart, rest in God
has a lot of patience and I promise, do not worry
Do not be fooled by adverse circumstances.
when we think that it is difficult to the Lord Jesus comes
To put your hand.
He specializes in doing great things
In favor of whom put his trust.
Do not give up says: I am winner.
have a nice day.
