Hi Vici,

Our Pigg Family is originally from Virginia, that of "John and Jane Shipingfield-Pigg."

My line is through James Pigg 1788 married Sarah Ratliff. James had a brother John Pigg who married into the Pigg Family of TN.

My ancestor is James Pigg born ca: 1788-1799 in ?? Patrick Co., VA; he married Sarah Ratcliffe. We know very little about James and Sarah and we have not been able to find out who his parents were. I have search the John and Jane Shipingfield document trying to figure out who he belonged to. Paul Pigg, Sr. had a son James Pigg, who married a Sarah, but there is some years between that James and our James (1788?1799); our James had the following son James Pigg born 1826, Our James was in Lawrence Co., KY, Floyd Co., KY, and possibly Pike Co., KY.

Our James Pigg had a son James Pigg born 1826, who married Frances Jordan, they had 4 sons, one was my grea- grandfather Samuel Mallory/Malory Pigg, married Judith Ratliff, who had my grandfather James Tilden Pigg (born in MO).

Too many James in our Pigg family!!
