I see that there is tombstone for an Edward Ivey in South Easton PA, he died in 1866, and one for William Ivey who died in 1881, also in South Easton PA, according to Ancestry.com. They both served in the Civil War for PA, they served in the same company in the Civil War. I would assume there is a relationship, probably brothers.

I saw your post on the Pennsylvania group. I'm wondering what information you have on William Ivey. Doing a quick search I see a William Ivey age 22 in Easton in 1860, he's a miner, married(?) to Elizabeth with children Mary, John and William?

Also see a William Ivey who served for PA in the Civil War on the Pension Index, widow was Elizabeth L Ivey, it appears he died in 1887?

I haven't checked on Edward, yet, just want to be sure I'm chasing the right family?

Though I have 107 Heilmans currently in my database - none match anyone you mentioned. But I continue working the line and will keep you in mind as I do. Perhaps I will discover the tie at some later time. (as you can see - I have expanded my Heilmans by a dozen or so since I posted the website - I am continuing my work there). Oh - a point of confusion - I have several Heilman-Heilman marriages (they are NOT mistakes).

From a census report in 1870 I found my great great grandfather and his parents living in Pittsburgh. The dates matched as did the names but I never found anything else. Well someone found an 1850 census with what might be my 3grandfather and his siblings and parents, only I have no idea if this is the right family. After looking through that census and doing some checks on Ancestry and Familysearch, I believe I found out all I can about these parents, but I still don't know if their son is my gg grandfather.

William Heilman (son of Johann George Heilman Sr and Elizabeth Straw) was born 14 Nov 1811 in Lebanon, PA and died in April 1870 in Lebanon, PA. He married Rebecca Kreiser (daughter of Frederick Kreiser and Elizabeth Eva Behney) on 3 Oct 1854 in Lebanon, PA. She was born 30 July 1817 in Lebanon, PA and died 27 May 1856.

They had the following children: (according to the 1850 census)
Horris (this is the one I think may be my gg grandfather), b. 1835 in PA
Clara, b. 1837 in PA
Emma, b. 1840 in PA
William, b. 1840 in PA

They also had living them with
Anna Mc Man, b. 1829 in Ireland
Henry Heilman, b. 1931 in PA

Does this family sound familiar at all to you? My Horris Heilman (or Harris Heilman) married a girl named Matilda and they had one son (or that's all I could find) named Henry Conrad Heilman on 9 June 1869 in Pittsburgh. Henry later died on 24 Jan 1917 in Reading PA, leaving behind three small sons, including my grandfather.

I figured if anyone knew, you would. Thanks for any information you can give me! I greatly appreciate it!
