He is on the 1911 Census at my Great Grandfather Archibald Wm Phillips, but NOTHING from there on. He may have become a Phillips, or may have changed his name entirely. As I said, I'd LIKE to offer a cheque...
I'm happy to go with a 'No Find - No Fee' detective agency, if anyone can suggest one, but either way the finder will get a mention in the book I am writing on my search.

i dont think so, my Herrings came from Somerset, i have searched for a link between the Herring's / Herrin's in oxfordshire to those in somerset for a while, but never found any, did any of yours start there lives in Someset., please let me know either way
