Thank you for the welcome message.  I regret to say I do not have any of the names you are researching.  I wish I did.  I love to help others to find missing connections.

I got your message--would  be interested in emailing or otherwise contacting you regarding Medendorp genealogy.  among my great grandfather's things was an old postcard from Michigan encouraging him to vote for William Jennings Bryan.  There is no name of who wrote it, but the second two initials are B. and F.  The first initial I cannot decipher.  The postcard did not come from Grand Rapids, but the name on the postmark ends with "land".  My ancestor never lived in Lafayette, Indiana, where there was a Dutch settlement, never lived in Michigan that I know of, but might have been aware of distant relatives there.  my email is cf1037@kdsi.net

Hello Beth Ann Cosselmon:

Thanks for your inquiry.  I like hearing from possible relatives.  I do have a Parker Genealogy that was posted by Richard Carlson.  It was dated April 24, 1999.  It is 100 pages long.  I just happened to "run" on to it.  It is called Parker Family Tree, Descendants of Jonathan Parker. I found it November 1, 2009. The top page begins with Jonathan Parker and Rachel his wife beginning with birth of John Garrison Parker in 1795.  It  proceeds with the descendants of Jonathan. Nineteen pages into it my family is mentioned.  I do not know if Sarah Morgan Parker is related.  I typed in "Sarah Morgan Parker married to an Edmondson" on the Internet. I found a Sarah Morgan Parker born in the 1600s.  She very well could be related to me.

I saw also the family name of Boone was mentioned. I am directly related to Daniel Boone.  My mother's father Louis Boone Brinlee's mother, Disa Caroline Boone was great granddaughter to Daniel.  Disa's dad was Alonzo Havington Boone. His dad was Daniel Morgan Boone.  Daniel was father to Daniel Morgan. Disa was born in 1845. She died in 1883 or 1884.

Hi Bob,
Yes, I do understand Texas is a pretty big state, all Texans remind us of that fact, which is a great badge to wear. I was born in Wichita Kansas, not such a big state but friendly none the less. I have been to Tennessee many times to visit and came across this plaque many years ago, cleaning out photo albums gave me the inspiration to share what I know of the Edmondsons, do you look up EFAB archives? or find [EDM] digest on Google.com? Very interesting facts to ponder. Hopefully I will find my Edmondsons. My brother Bob and I share ancestry.com family tree called Edmondson II and he has done the DNA and results posted on www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/edmondson/pats?raw=1, the kit # 44201 is our line, and of course waiting for a match to come in. Have a great New Year. Beth

Hi Beth,

I am not familiar with the Chattanooga sign or photo that you refer to. There were a lot of Edmondsons in the TN, AL and MS area during that time frame. It could or could not have been related to my family tree line. As to the DNA, I currently have a DNA being done by the Family Tree people in Houston, Texas. As to your relative in Luling, that is near the New Braunfels and San Antonio area which is roughly 175 to 200 miles from here. Texas is a pretty large state. My great grandfather was born near Franklin, TN after his family migrated from VA to TN. Thanks for contacting me and have a wonderful day.

Beth Ann - My Edmondsons were in Greene County, Georgia in early 1800's. I suspect they were in Virginia before that. I think that I have some information on Virginia, but I have not had time to put it all together. Where are your Edmondsons from?
