Hi Elizabeth, In regards to the Rawlings group, I sent a friend request a moment ago but didn't get a chance to send message with it. I am an Australian descendant of Wil/Mary Rawlings son Jeremiah 1755-1834, Jeremiahs son John 1786, johns son William 1814 who married Mary cotterell who both sailed to south Australia in 1839, their son James 1839, James daughter Mary Ann 1874, Mary Ann's daughter Mildred who gave birth to my mum (it's difficult explaining on a short email). I am yet to confirm much detail I have found through research but would be interested to be included in this Rawlings group.

Regards,

Debbie

Thanks for the info, maybe our lines cross somewhere. Maybe we'll 'run' into each other on the family history journey.

My Tweddle family is from Lanercost Cumberland. My 4x great grandmother was Margaret Tweddle daughter of Thomas Tweddle and Margaret Robson (married 18 May 1721 Lanercost). Margaret married Henry Routledge of Oakshaw Bewcastle 3 Oct 1759 at Lanercost.

the son of Henry Routledge and Margaret Tweddle - Thomas Routledge - and his wife Elizabeth Routledge (daughter of George Routledge and Grace Routledge) emigrated to Canada in 1818. They are my first emigrant ancestors to Canada. I have many Routledge lines (just one Tweddle so far).

Where do your Tweddle's come from? Mine are from Haltwhitle, England and immigrated to Canada then to Delaware, USA.

I have set up a Group for Wiltshire Ancestors - would you add a link to it on your RAWLINGS group and I will do likewise to the new group.

Hi Elizabeth. I live in London Ontario and I have some information on the Rutledges and some of the other names that you mentioned. Please get in touch with me in regards to helping you. I have the London Township book and most of the names are mentioned in it. I also have marriage books from 1796- 1834 Miss Pat Carson

Elizabeth,

Thanks for your info (August 13) on Martha Pearse Rowcliffe. Just before seeing that I realised that you had already let me have information on Martha and Philip, her husband, back in mid July. Sorry to have overlooked that.
Regards,
Cecil Pearse

Hi, Elizabeth,
I've just stumbled across your comment of July 12 to Bob Marshall in which you refer to a Martha PEARSE Rowcliffe wife of Philip Rowcliffe. Can you give me any more information on her as her second name suggests she might be a daughter or grand-daughter of a Pearse (not necessarily one of 'my lot' I know) so any info you can supply would be helpful.

I find your information on Rew very interesting. However, I don't know whether there is any connection with my ancestors. Have a look at my Goodwin Web Site - MyHeritage.com - Microsoft Internet Explorer. BUT, I visited Selworthy churchyard last October with my son from Australia and he found a number of gravestones with REW. If you want me to send details please email me on acg-grg@talktalk.co.net

Dear Elizabeth
I'm sure we've 'met' through GenesReunited but since I've just joined genealogywise ...
It seems my 4xgreat grandfather WILLIAM was your PHILIP's brother, so we share ANDREW and JOAN (née HARVEY). Have you got any further back than them?
We (me and another 'cousin' in Wales) think we have found ANDREW's parents, WILLIAM ROWCLIFFE (b1656) and JANE CRALOKE or CRELLIKE (b1657) married in June 1685, but haven't found a definitive link from them to ANDREW. We are fairly certain of a link back from this WILLIAM to his grandfather PHILIP (family name!) bc1610.
Can you confirm, deny, help in any way?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards, Bob Marshall
PS There seem to be a fair few Rowtcliffes and other similar spellings about in sunny North Devon as well.
