Hi Betty. Just a comment. Newfoundland is in Canada ever since 1949 so if your searching records after 49 you should look for Canadian records. Are you researching Snow in Canada?? I do have some info on the Snow's from Nova Scotia. I am stuck trying to find my great grandfather Henry Snow born about 1796, location is unknown.Good hunting.

Betty,

Candy again. I noticed you are interested in the surname Gill as well. I have a Gill line with roots in Glamorgan and Monmouthshire. David Richard Gill came to Utah between 1874 and 1878.

Hi Betty,

I think we share a few similar research areas. I noticed your comment to Craig regarding the Home family. I think I belong to that family as well. I have traced my Sparks family to George Hume who came to Virginia in the 1760s. I would to find out if you have any additional information on this family.

I look forward to hearing from you.

I really got into genealogy through trying to trace a family that had lived on a particular island on the west coast of Canada. I discovered how much fun it was to associate them with the site and to find their history as well.
I am an architectural historian by trade but transfer my research skills to genealogy and have fun doing it.

Betty, thanks for the idea but yes I tried that...Andrew named his sons:
Charles, William, John, Sarah, Elizabeth, Hannah. Charles named his twins Andrew and Abraham, James, Elnathan, Sarah and Elizabeth. William names his sons Joseph, Charles, William, Thomas, Joseph, Samuel, Abel, Beulah, Anne, Anna, Eunice, Abigail; and John named his children Parthenia, Josiah, John, Ashbel, Ephriam, Stephen, Mathew, Isaac, Mary, Mathew, Isaac, Parthenia, and Benjamin...etc...So I am lost with a pattern..no matter how I tried...But thanks for thinking of it!

Hello Betty -

Do come & join the England group -
http://www.genealogywise.com/group/england/

It has links to many of the county groups now, so is an excellent central point for links round the country!
