Last April (08) my son and my MOM and I went for a drive and to dinner in Bodega Bay. We drove around where the boats are now all parked instead of where they were when I was a youth. We went out on the Head and Al took many pictures of the bay, the ocean, the animals. We saw deer, rabbits, squirrels, and many birds. There was this one seagull that decided to be a friend, or entertain us.

The Seagull flew down and landed on the hood of the car while we were taking pictures it walked around the hood like he was proclaiming himself king of the road. Then he walks up and looks at us in the window of the car. Next he walks up to the very front of the car and decides to attack the windshield wipers. We tried to capture a picture of him with the wiper in his beak. He did manage to pull it up and hold it twice. No we did not have the wiper on.
He then paraded back and forth again and walked around some more and about 20 minutes later decided to fly away.

We have several pictures of him and you can see him clearly looking at you directly.

We could not help comment that this was the town that they filmed part of the movie "THE BIRDS" in by Alfred Hitchcock. My class mate drove a get away truck, my other class mates home was remodeled for the movie on the inside.(Valley Ford) The Church and School for the Catholic Church in Bodega were in the movie also. It is the church my sister got married in.

Critters are sure interesting creatures. It was a part of my past brought forward with the bird being so attentive and semi aggressive?
