GENERAL extract from the interments, marriages“ and baptisms which took place during the campaign of the Beau “ tiful River,” flourished and signed, Marin,8 the original‘-‘ of which is preserved in Fort Duquesne at the Beautiful River, under the title of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin.    

IN the year one thousand seven hundred and fifty-three, Inkegmlfnt on the eleventh of July, died, in the said‘° detachment, 03,13,812 John Baptist Texier of the parish of Montreal, husband Texie" of Charlotte Cabassier, widow of the late Ia Souche, after having confessed, received the Holy Viaticum and the sacrament of Extreme Unction. His remains were interred with the customary ceremonies in that portion of the camp of Presqu’ Isle, set apart for a cemetery.

In testimony whereof I have signed,

In the year one thousand seven hundred and fifty-three, on the last day of July, died in the said detachment John I:,'ft‘§$,e:t Francis Aubert, of the parish of St. Charles of Sedan, in Frfllwifl . . . Aubert. the diocese of Rheims, a soldier of the company of Dumas,‘ 3 after having confessed, received the Holy Viati cum and Extreme Unction.
