Why at the Polish Mission? Our campus was developed by the Michigan Military Academy and, while we celebrate our Polish heritage, we are hooked on American history! Join us for three lectures:

  1. Holy Moses!
Ceil Wendt Jensen, CG presents a case study of Moses Stedman and his three brothers. Did they really fight on opposing sides?  Learn how to undertake Union solders’ research.
  2. Confederate Lineage Societies  Genealogy expert Betty Guziak, a member of The United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC), will give an overview of records for Southern soldiers and applying for membership in the UDC.Polish Soldiers in the U.S. Civil War-North and South
  3. PARI volunteer and Civil War re enactor Stephen Satkiewicz presents an overview of the European attitude toward the U.S. Civil War and an in depth look at the role of Polish soldiers.
