Why Groups Tend to Falter

Oh yes, they do falter, get stale and some even disappear. But why does this happen, we ask ourselves?

There is a multitude of reasons for this to happen, whether intentional or not, it can sneak up behind you and you do not even know your going to be hit.

I recall a President saying," we are at 65 members and slowly going backwards, what do we need to do to stop this?"

Blogging and It's Challenges

Blogging can bring families together that were not aware the other existed.  Blogging sometimes makes people say please do not write about my family. Please, yes respect their wishes. 

Blogging is almost like a diary for some. They record their adventures as they move along. 

Blogging definitely has it's challenges. Some days we win and some days we lose. We all have our own set opinions on how to blog, what to blog…

  Interesting things happen when one blogs.  Someone said," use phrases that catch the eye and the mind, get the readers attention."  But my mind obviously does not work the way others do and it leaves some readers very confused, so I am told.

 Here is hoping that most of you have found a home to call home in Genealogy for a Society.  Whether it is a National Society or the local one down the road.  Maybe a Historical Society that fills the space for that region would be good also.  Many start as Historical and branch off to become Genealogical.

  Just opened my mail to learn that Rhode Island has opened up the Adoption Records for people over 25 years of age.

  I know a touchy subject but recently learned almost every family or so it seems has adoption  lurking in it's  background.
