Currently, I have a puzzle in my family tree that I will likely need
assistance on. The patriarch of our family - the farthest back I have
gone in the Sinnett family of my line - has a conundrum.

Francis Sinnett - born possibly in Quebec about 1801 - has a 'wife
situation'. From what I can apprise.. he had two wives. One named
Hannah, born in New Brunswick in 1811 and married to Francis in 1833. No
last name is provided and I'm not able to locate any information on her
aside from one census when she was about 60 years old.

The other wife that I can find is Savannah Carl, born in 1801 in
Ireland. She married Francis in 1822 and had a daughter, Letitia. I know
this because she is listed as such on Letitia's death certificate from
Massachusetts. The marriage date I obtained from someone else's family
tree who is tracking this family unit. So, it may be incorrect.

My question... are they really the same person? Hannah and Savannah? Its entirely possible.. now to discover the truth!!
So far, I have been very pleased with my speedy progress on locating and verifying the origins of my family - however in keeping the link with the last name in my tree, I have reached a very quick roadblock that has me shaking my head.

I'm looking for information on the father of Thomas Wesley Sinnett - who was born sometime in 1864 in the Canadian Province of New…
So far, I have been very pleased with my speedy progress on locating and verifying the origins of my family - however in keeping the link with the last name in my tree, I have reached a very quick roadblock that has me shaking my head.

I'm looking for information on the father of Thomas Wesley Sinnett - who was born sometime in 1864 in the Canadian Province of New Brunswick - those, unfortunately are about all of the specifics I have on the man, but I would love to learn more. It does look as though he lived the majority of his life in Clarendon, Charlotte County in New Brunswick - but I don't have an actual birth location.

He was married to Rose Kinney (or Kenney depending on how the records state her - which on searching provide lots of folks looking for information on her and her roots - Personally I haven't gone down that road as of yet!). It appears they had 5 or so children.

However as I stated previously, my current quest is to find information on Thomas' father - I have only found him listed as Michael Sennett - from two census sources indicating matching children and wife information. It appears that he also lived in Clarendon, Charlotte County in 1871 and 1901 and was thought to be born in New Brunswick in about 1833 - His wife's name was "Jane" and that's all that is listed for the man that I'm able to locate.

I do plan on visiting Clarendon this summer and the provincial archives of New Brunswick in Fredericton as well - but I was hoping that someone might be able to give me any other information on these men, or this family unit in general. I'd be very grateful for any tidbits of knowledge or stories that anyone would like to share.
