Busseys of ohio and virginia
Makers of Cape Cod, Mass.
Rickers of Newburyport, Mass.
What countries and other locations are you interested in researching?
U.S, and Nova Scotia
What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Intermediate Family History Researcher
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
childhood interest in Mother's home state of N.M, and late husband's family of Mass. and Nova
Scotia. Results have been rewarding. Direct descent from Conquistadors of Onate's Expedition
(treacherous as that expedition was to Indians), and husband's acquiring of 14 Mayflower Passenger ancestors, which with their joined families accounted for one fourth of Mayflower ship's passengers. Expanded knowledge of American Revolution which sent many early Plymouth settlers to Nova Scotia, thus splitting families into either Patriots or Loyalists. This study also prompted a deep fear in my grown children that I might start spouting facts about long dead wonderful ancestors. However, meeting others interested in studying their family history has sure made up for my family's lack of interest. My four year old grandson does love tromping through Cape Cod cemetaries looking for ancestors grave sites, though. He is a real champion. LD
