Hi Keith,
I can see that I am about two years behind joining this group, lol. I have been sat for a week wondering about forcing my wallet open to buy Filemaker pro 11, your comments here and the pic of your database have helped me make up my mind,…
My family originated in the Glossop, Cheshire region and I am looking for people who live in the are who might be able to take photos of a cemetery for me.
I am just a family historian/genealogist who wants to publish the story (the real one) of my maternal families. I would like to do this as a hard copy family journal.

Keith, I am very interested in my English roots and I was wondering what part of England are you in.
Thanks. I knew about it from the GOONS mailing list, but wasn't sure what I might gain relative to the list, and not being familiar with Genealogywise , whether I would receive comments & messages to my email address which are not very relevant to me. Pergaps you can advise on both.
You might be right but who knows. I know that there is a John Hawkins and his son Richard Hawkins were both part of the Queen's Royal Navy but I haven't made the connection(If there is) to my line of Hawkins. I will be updating my site with some info on my Hawkins research. Maybe between all who is researching the Millers and Hawkins can help fill us in on our brick walls! :-)
I see you are also researching Hawkins! I am in hopes that it is the same surname family as mine since I seem to have run into a brick wall on a John Hawkins and Ann Coombs in England. Their daughter, Harriet, married John Miller on 18 Feb 1817 in Southampton, England. Hope this is one of your Hawkins so we might share information!
