When I signed up, I saw that someone had been inquiring about Alfred Breyer, 6th NJ.  I recently bought a letter written by Breyer, which was written "July 15th, 1864".  He says he got there two days ago.  He wrote to his wife telling her he was a prisoner in a Prison in Georgia, and that he was well and hoped he would be parolled soon...that men were dying around him.  It was written two days after he arrived in Andersonville and he wanted her to know where he was, he was sending  his love to…See More
