I really don't know. If my great grandfather, Dr. Charles B. McHenry, is the son of Dr. Robert Wood McHenry then the linage goes back to Dr. James McHenry, pre-Revolutionary War era. However, he may be the son of Charles Paul McHenry and Kathryn O'leary both of whom were from Ireland born in early 1800's and I have no information of either. Genealogy is fascinating but also frustrating.

I am also researching the McHenry line, my mother's maiden name. States involved are AK, TX and CA.

Hi Mike:

Thanks for trying GenealogyWise with us. We won't know if it is of value until we do, but it is just getting started ... I have more names in my Address Book than they have members! ;-)

Thanks also for joining our Haplogroup G page at:

Are you on facebook? They have over 200 million members ... lots of G's to be found there, right?
