Wilma Kassman's Page

I am a grandaughter of Joseph Bray born in 1968, Moonta, Dist of Daly SA to James Bray and Mary Torpey.  From records, he comes from a family of 8 (+4 brothers &  3 sisters). Joseph moved to Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea (which was then called Territory of Papua) in about 1890 thereabouts, He worked here and married my grandmother from Nara, both had 4sons & 1daughter, they lived at Yule Island where he died & was buried at the catholice cemetary.

I am the daughter of Roy (3rd son) and I am hoping to find anyone who would be able to connect me to any of my grandfather's families on the Bray's side or his mother's side which are the Torpey's.  I have reason to believe that my great-grandfather James Bray was born in Cornwall England and great-grandmother Mary Torpey was born in County Cork - Ireland,  this I am not sure of and I hope that i can make contact with people to point me in the right direction to find out.
