Changing Relationships in FTM2010

I actually have two questions and I hope they have not been asked previously. The first question is about merging individuals. I have a person that appears twice in my tree and I want to merge the two entries. On one branch Joe is the brother of my ancestor. In another line, Joe marries the sister on an ancestor.
