"Yes, the men in the MS and AL confederate units are brothers, uncle and nephews. The Dunning came from Mobile to Lowndes County, MS just before the war started. Some stayed in Mobile. Thanks"

"Yes, there are other Dunnings in MS. I have a feeling Edward Sr was killed or came up missing. There is no record of him after the war."

For what reason did you start genealogy research?
All my life I have had a burning desire to know my ancestor's information. At a very early age, I was questioning my grandparents. I would love to have a time machine and go back and visit my ancestors. This is the closest thing to the time machine.
