David Clark Moren 1841 Arkansas

David Clark Moren 1841 Sevier, Arkansas Territory, United States is my great great grandfather. He passed away in 1928 in Dresden, Navarro County. His children were Thomas Mathew, Elijah David ( my GG), and "Betty" Augusta Emily Moren. My grandfather is Woodrow Wilson Moren and just reciently passed away. My father is Woodrow Carlton Moren.

Native American Bloodlines

Today I called the Choctaw Nation and I found out that even if you are Native American you have to be a direct descendent of a person who's NAME APPEARS on the DAWES list, BETWEEN 1898 to 1906 on INDIAN TERRITORY at the time. Map of Indian Territory.

Hey Terry,

It sounds like you're on the hunt, alright. Super!

Interesting, Woodrow Wilson has been one of my favourite presidents for years. Do you have the 1900 Census for David Clark Moren? It was a very good one for many details.

Hey Terry,

Aye, one can be of Mexican descent, w/o having been born there.

My father's name is John Powell, but no Cherokee ancestry. His great-grand uncle was John Powell, born in London, but died in Texas. Still, he had no Native American ancestry, either.

Sorry, we're not related, yet! LOL. But there's bound to be a connection if we get back far enough, right?

Hi Terry,

Native American research has been a fascinating endeavor for me. Thank goodness I live near the NARA! LOL. Keep digging -- there's got to be a pony in there somewhere, right?
