My friend is Orville Grandon Spencer b. 15Jan1922 to Fannie Adell Howey and William Spencer. He says he is the last surviving of 5 children. He wonders if you are related through Lyla. Are you are a Wendt? His recollection is that Harry Shoe died of typhoid. He thinks Fannie Gadsby has sibblings: Amos, Robert, F. Adell, Marion, Margaret, Alice, and Lyla.
Orville's primary interest is the circumstances surrounding Fannie Ardell Howie's birth...beit on a ferry between the US and canadaa, or what. Any anecdotes on the topic?

- actually, I got a hold of someone at the saginaw library and he sent me several obits. Herman Julius Wendt g g grand fr. who married Augusta Hoppe they had Robert wendt sr, albert, (another Herman?) Emil and Dr. Otto Wendt, mom was born there too and remembered a house in Mi too.

herman j was possibly from W. Prussia Gemrmany too.. jan 4 1845 is one I might have found.

There are many Wendt families in Michigan. It surprised me when I started doing research. While I don't have the couple you mentioned in my tree, I can tell you my Wendts came from West Prussia near Tczew.
