immigrant Jacob’s son Ulrick Showalter (1743-1815) had son Joseph Showalter (1774-1859), his son John b. 1796 Rockingham Co.Va.d.1880 Fayette Co. Pa. He & wife Mary Ann Donnelly buried St. Vincent’s Cemetery , Latrobe Pa.

Hi, I'm researching the Brillinger family who came from Pennsylvania to Ontario. Burkholders also came to Ontario and they intermarried with my Brillingers.
This is insane! I just found out that one of my great-great grandfather Clouston's brothers was murdered by the other!

Constance Chaffee Leaman said… - Probably no connection, but you never know. My husband is descended from Ulrich B. Burkholder: Eliza R. who married Samuel H. Leaman, her father was Joseph who married Elizabeth Reiff (Rife); his father was Joseph who married Maria Lehman; his father was John who married Esther Reiff; and then Ulrich, born in Switzerland. He was married to Esther Scherer. They mostly lived in Lancaster County.
