Hi Sheila! I recognize several of your surname interests: BOWYER, CLAYPOOL, SHUCK, FLESHMAN, WHITE and OSBORN. So I'm pretty sure we have a connection somewhere!
My paternal great grandmother was Anna Mae Bowyer (1911-1996) married to James Elzie Thomas.
Anna Mae's parents were Earnest Russell Bowyer (1888-1970) and Ruby Stella Legg (1887-1974).
Earnest was the son of Sherman Grant Bowyer (1866-1934) and Mary Elizabeth Fleshman (1870-1951).
Sherman's parents were William Bowyer (1844-1914) and Amanda Margaret Shuck (1845-1916).
William was the son of Phillip Bowyer (1813-1884) and his 2nd wife Mary UNKNOWN (1809-1870).
Phillip was the son of Reuben Bowyer (1781-1820) and Mary Ann Reid (1778-1850).
Thats as far as I have. I hope we can find our connection!

Sheila,
Anna's husband Henry Boggess is a first cousin of my ancestor Henry Boggess IV, who married Mary Ann Lindsay. Their grandson, Henry Boggess, married Catherine "Kitty" Pitzer in Marion Co., WV but (as I mentioned in an earlier message to Phillip Pitzer) I have not yet found that Catherine's line is related to Anna and Sarah's line. Do you know whether their two lines are connected?
Best wishes, John

Sheila, your Pitzer information is very interesting to me. I had Anna Mary "Polly" Pitzer (6SEP1772-4JUN1845) as daughter of John Pitzer Sr. (abt1735-1824) and Elizabeth Madison (abt 1740-btwn 1824-1826), whom had 11 children.. I did not know she was married to Henry Boggess Sr... Sarah Pitzer (abt1800-12SEP1875) married to Henry Boggess Jr. My Sarah Pitzer I have it she was daughter of Fredrick Claiborne Pitzer (1769-1839) and Nancy Agnes Kimberling (abt1782-bef1836). Nancy Agnes Kimberling is really my family connection. Nancy and I are 1st cousins 5 times removed. The Pitzer's mentioned, I have never been able to make a connetion to my line of Pitzer's.
If any of this sounds like we are talking about the same folks I would be interested to know more. Regards, Phill
