A very good resource is the web site for the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. I'm not currently a member of the AHSGR, but my Dad is. The web site is free and has a lot of good info. I'll look around for other resources…
Would love to find someone with common ground in G Russian families.
My interest lies in the Volga area, and in trying to find how my families came toRussia. and when they did so.I have SCHMALTZ TO CO AND NM, RAUSCH, MILDENBERGER, BERG etc. Are there any records that exist about just what families went to Russia, from where in Germany etc. will willingly share what family info I have, mostly after arrival in the states.
