- For what reason did you start genealogy research?
- Didn't know much about my own family history, and just wanted to gather up what I could. Discovered it's a never-ending quest. Can be VERY addictive, and VERY educational. Also discovered that my home province of Newfoundland (Canada), appears to be somewhat pivotal to many researchers - many Europeans appeared here for a generation or more, before moving on to Canada or the US.

My grandfather actually left to go to England to join WWI.
My other interests are England and Scotland.
Hopefully we can entice some more on board!
