- For what reason did you start genealogy research?
- One evening in 1978 while enjoying a fire in our fireplace, I started thinking about my Gr. Gr. Grandfather, Sylvanus Allen and who his ancestors were. Found a genealogy library a short distance from my home. Have been hooked ever since with over 7,000 names in my data base.
Family Tree DNA has been an interesting trip.

My DNA has been a trip too. It shows I am more closely related to the Perry line than the Averys
