Hello Randolph,
I need to make a correction on my earlier post today. Emilie Schuster Kuthlow's son was the grandfather of my mother ( not the great grandfather). Other information Emily and Ludwig immigrated on the ship Reinhard. I have no information about the parents of either one. Did the Schusters in your line come from Posen? Joyce

Hello Randolph,
You have inquired about Schusters in my relatives.Emilie Schuster born May 11, 1839 in Treptow de Rega River near Baltic sea. She married April 22, 1956 in Treptow, Saatzig, Pommern to Ludwig Wilhelm Kuthlow born May 11, 1833 in Borowo nach Samain, Posen. As a "clean" maid overseeing 10 other maids she was said to be above the status of her husband who was an assistant shepherd. Ludwig died at 43 of appendicitis with peritonitis.
Emilie following a broken hip. She died at Norwalk, WI where she had gone to live with her daughter. Prior to that she lived on the farm with her son Ludwig Kuthlow born January 08, 1860. Emilie and Ludwig emigrataed onOctober 10, 1856 and immigrated on December 1, 1856 at Kessel Gardens. Her son was the great grandfather of my mother, Della Iva Kuthlow Kortbein. I hope this is helpful. Joyce Kortbein Esser Anderson
