I would love to see it. My cousin had a picture of grandpa Reason but its pretth bad. If you would like to see some of Reason so Mack or of Grandpa John let me know I can send them to you. The fluharty in galway where In the Araon Island and the Galway area. I have contaceted a family member who gave me a little on the early Fluharty in Ireland. It seems we were pretty mean bunch. Pleople in the area actually where afraid of them. O'Flaherty are part of the o"Neal clan. This has been proven in DNA testing. I will write you more later. Sheila

Will here is what I know there is a connection between the Fleharty and the Fluharty family, DNA proven but just how will we think all this confusion stated when John and Margaret came to America. No one knows for sure just how many children they had. It seems John son Stephen changes his name to Fleherty. John uses Fleehartee. Then it realy goes crazy, But if this doesn't I have one more spelling to give you Fleaharty.(Uses in MO WVA, Va etc. It seems are family had just a little problem with spelling: Flueharty, Fluhart, Fluehart, Flewharty, Flewhart, Flehart, Fleehart, Fleeharty, Fleahart, Fleaharty, Flechart, Flecharty, Flaugharty, Fluhearty, Flaharty Flaherty, Fahert, Lafferty.Soem have been tested with DNA a were perfect matxches. Do you know were our Fluharty name came from? I have a few fluharty photo. I have been trying to find old court records to help me find the early fluharty. But my Fluharty line came from Ireland/Boston/Pa/Ohio/VA\WVA. Thr final thought is if you can't read or write which most records said was true it lead to hearing the name and people spelling it different. What can we do but have all these variation.

Iam sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I started about 15 years ago researching my family because I was so hoem sick but like everyone stated as soon as I started I just could start. My family starts with John Fleharty and Margaret Frances Morgan . They John was from Ireland(Galway) and Margaret was from Wales. John was in the Amerca about 1700 and lived in Dorchester Maryland. He had a son Who married Hannah Pennick they lived close to St George Parrish, Maryland. They had four boys and one of them was Noah Fluharty. He married Nancy Reeves and lived near cheat River in WVA. The line from him goes William/Henry/ Reason/John Bell Fluharty (my Grandpa. My Dad Is Mack Fluharty. I have Five lines of Fluharty they are from MD/West Va/ PA/ Ohion/Va/Kentucky. What is your Fluharty line? Maybe we are cousin. I have the line all the way back to the Royal family of Ireland. Maybe we can share info. The fluhartys are big on farming and having lots of children. I would place a bet that we are realted somewhere because so far any Fluharty that contacts each other is. I think thats what makes this so much fun. Totally addicted never an end. Sheila
