Hi Patrick,

I'm not aware of an Alan TOLL that fits your description. There were 4 Alan TOLLs born in England 1900-1966. None is about 65 and none born Bermondsey. Nearest is Alan G TOLL born 1931 in Hertfordshire, so aged 79.

It could be that 'your' Alan was born elsewhere, eg Scotland or Ireland, and moved to England later.

Do you have any further info on him? wife? Children?

Kind Regards, Ken Toll, researching all TOLLs worldwide.

Hi Pat, I don't think that there is any connection. My great grandfather was born about 1837 and left England about 1863. He was born in bedfordshire and raised in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. HIs parents were James and Mary Willet Crawley. I have been trying to go back farther on the Crawley line, but so far can't find any connections. I don't think that any of my ancestors were in London, but there could be a connection, I just don't know. I have been in contact with several Crawley's in the Hemel Hempstead area and will look to see if anything is in what they sent me.
