I am interested in your DINGES genealogy. My family originated in the Frankfort area and the ancestor was a Hessian soldier who settled in Canada where the name was changed to TINKES(S).. I have also collected some data on the DINGES(S) family that settled in Virginia. Jim.

I have not been able to determine where from Germany. My last proven Ancestor was Peter Seip, born March 12 1790, we believe in Northampton county Pa. We believe peter's father immigrated from Germany. Peter died in Butler County, PA (Western, Pa) 1881. He fathered 7 children with his spouse Catharine Bollinger.
