The obituraries listed are from the American Citizen newspaper, a semi-monthly newspaper published from July 4, 1938 to October 14, 1985 in Omaha Nebraska by a member of the Sons of Italy. This was an Italian language newspaper. This paper told the Italian people what was happening back in Italy and in America. I am a Volunteer Genealogist for W. Dale Clark Public Library in Omaha, Nebraska and was the Vice President of Greater Omaha Genealogy Society. I have been doing Genealogist work for the past 40 years. And have done Death, Marriage, Obituaries, Naturalization, ects. .

I ask my mother where did she come from and she said Termini, Italy. So we start to look for information on her mother side of the family that was 40 years ago.

South Omaha Sun was a weekly newspaper from December 27, 1951 to August 31, 1983. In this paper they had birth announcements, wedding announcements and pictures of brides. It even has people who retired from packing houses and other places of business.
