- I received a family tree a while back and got interested in researching other parts of the family and other branches of my own immediate family. When I got married I started researching my husband's family as well.

Hi Melissa - I have good news and bad news for you. The bad news is you are not related to my Wolfords at least in this country, possibly in Europe. On the other hand the good news is I have a whole book of info on your family. When I get a chance I can copy it and send it to you. If you want to email your snail mail address to me at localhistorynut@aol.com I'll print it out. You are also related to my boss who lives in Cashtown, Adams Co., west of Gettysburg. I work at the Farnsworth House on Baltimore St. in Gettysburg. He is related to the Wolfords and the Pyles from Hampshire Co WV. There is another ladyu on GenWise from Hanover who is related to the Pyles.

Hi Melissa and welcome to Genealogy Wise. I am sort of a neighbor. I live in Dover PA. But more importantly I have a literal ton of Wolford material. My 4th great grandparents were Philip and Catherine Kraemer Wolford who lived in West Manheim Twp., York Co. Most of their children moved on to Centre Co PA and settled in Miles Twp near Rebersburg. They changed the spelling to Wohlford. From there some moved west to Ohio, Illinois and California. I started a blog on GenWise called the Wolford Connection but have been too busy with work to add much to it. It is mostly about my family of Wolfords. I am retired but have a part time job in Gettysburg. I am a tour guide at the Farnsworth House and in the evening I lead Ghost Hunts there. We also have an active chat community here. Just go to the "Chat" tab and click on Join The Chat. I hang out there alot when I am home. So who are your Wolfords?? .
