Marni, thanks for your reply. Was your Grandmother Helen F. 1902-1995 ? If so, she was my grandfathers sister. He was Charles F. 1892-1983. The research I have on William is he was married to Martha Drake. Have no idea where he is laid to rest. I am aware of the Thompson plot in Center Moriches. A friend works there and he showed me where it is. Did you know that William was a refuge during the Revolutionary War ? He was able to flee to CTand returned in 1782, the same year he passed away.
Have you searched Long Island surnames.com ? Free site, was very helpful to me. I see your from Bellport. I'm originally from Eastport, but now live in Cutchogue. Keep in contact, I'll try to help. Take care
