What is your level of genealogy knowledge?
Beginning Family History Researcher
For what reason did you start genealogy research?
I wanted to anchor my ancestral roots in history, so I started researching my family history off and on several years ago. I ran into several major stumbling blocks early on. I decided to fully immerse myself in the field of genealogy by completing a certificate program in American Records through the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. I completed the basic courses summer 2009 and I am starting the intermediate courses this spring. I want to take some of the courses in Librarianship as electives in the future.
