Hi Linda - thanks for your friend request which I accepted. Who are the Averys and Halsteads who you have in Bradford Co.?  I am working on what I am calling The Avery Project which is a listing of all the Averys I can find in Bradford and Tioga Counties in PA and Chemung Co. NY plus the counties that surround them.

There is an Ebenezer Avery of Troy married Miss Elizabeth Halstead  of Franklin 1 Jan 1829 in Franklin by Rev. Preston Bradford Settler  22 Jan 1829
There is an Alvin Aaron Avery (sometimes called Aaron Alvin) who was my grandfather's oldest brother. Alvin Avery  Co. C. 7th Regt. PA Cavalry  no dates  St James Cemetery Waverly Tioga Co NY http://www.tioga.nygenweb.net/james1.htm
Harriett R. Avery  Oct 3, 1844 NY State - Apr 17, 1918 Waverly NY  daughter of William and Elizabeth Eldridge Hested Buried Forrest Home Cemetery Waverly Tioga Co NY http://www.tioga.nygenweb.net/forrest1.htm
There was also a William Avery died 8 Feb 1834  mentions Levi, Jacob and wife Elizabeth  Bradford Co. Wills I believe she may be a Halstead.  Do any of these ring a bell? Who are your Averys and Halsteads in Bradford Co?  It might be easier if you write to me at localhistorynut@aol.com  Thanks for writing
