Noticed you mentioned the Etheridge surname in connection with Norfolk on another member's page (almost ten years ago lol). I recently learned of some Etheridge ancestors who appear to have come to the Norfolk area from Middlesex and Tottenham Parish, England sometime between 1610 and 1645. Any knowledge of Etheridge's in the Norfolk area? Thanks!
Thanks for the invitation.
My MENDHAM family are Robert 1811-1891 who married Sussanah Leadbetter 1808-1868, they were both born in Terrington St. Clement and moved to Holbeach Drove to farm after their marriage in 1834 in Terrington.
Robert the son of Thomas Mendham and Mary Coulcher.
wonder and what if - isnt that what we genealogy people do all the time!!? i am in the process of moving and have packed all genealogy away and it will take 3 months to get there! but when it does i will chase up the Purcells and let you know, maybe we have a link after all!
Hi Lesley, my Winters are from the Brayton area of Yorkshire, then Sussex and my branch to nothern Tasmania. The Purcell's i dont know where they hail from yet! but they died in Tasmania. any connections?

Hi Lesley, Thanks for the invitation - the Norfolk Ancestor group could be rewarding. My Norfolk names are Allman (GY & Norwich, my father's name), Langley (GY & Gorleston), Read, Hazell & Greenwood. Those are the direct line names, but of course there are many others through marriage of siblings.
I have considerable knowledge of the Allmans in Norfolk and Suffolk, and of C18 Greenwood, which might be of help to someone.
