Laura, I have the Fortenberry book you mentioned. Also the Fortenberry Family in Arkansas by John Fortenberry. I got to know Adrian who's daughter Adriane wrote the MS Fortenberry book. The Floydata group also has published a book and puts out an annual update. They have been meeting for well over 50 years.

Laura, Do you attend the Fortenberry Reunion held in Floydata each summer. It is only about 50 miles from you. Their ancestors go back and tie in with ours in the Carolina's Bobbie and I drove out and attended several years ago.. Had a great time. Great group of people. They have done a lot of research on the Fortenberry line. Bobby

Laura, The Fortenberry, Boyd and Cook are from the Columbia MS area and the Runnels, McCallum and Adcock are from Smisth Co., MS area. Smith county is Bobbie's family home in the Mize area. My family is Marion, Walthall and Pike and Lawrence Counties. Before MS they are in the Carolinas.
