manufacture of iron in England,Wales, New England, and early American colonies; migratory patterns in iron workers & allied trades prior to 1860. Medieval English and European history in aristocracy and royalty and family alliances within these groups

For what reason did you start genealogy research?

to make sense of seemingly "wacky" records that turned out to be quite normal for those families, but very atypical as far as the usual migration patterns.
