- Hi Kirsten: I'm new to this site and saw that one of your research interests is the name Knoell. My g-g-grandmother was Mary Ann Knole, who married Lewis Mahaffey in St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church in Philadelphia in 1857. Lewis was a brick mason. She died in 1860. According to my mother, she was tiny but had several tall brothers. Does any of this sound like the Knoell family you are researching? If so, I'd love to exchange information.
