Manning family, poss. Cork

Posting one of my "brick wall"  folks. You never know.... My James William Manning, born about 1861 (on March 7th). Claimed to be from Cork.Year may be off....he said he lied about his age when entering the US, per his grand daughters. Arrived in California 1879- filed for naturalization, citizenship etcMarried Letitia Watson, also Irish, in 1886. Another Horton cousin in Chicago said she heard her aunt speak of that connection as well - also through the Campbell line to Sir Colin or Sir Walter Campbell?
Yes, Ruth Cliett is my niece.

I am a great granddaughter of Emily Burns who married David Horton. Please tell me more about your connection. I only have a few photos of Emily when she was old and had Parkinsons.
